Building Dadhood

Why Dadhood Exists

Eight years ago, my wife told me she was pregnant. I had no idea what to do.

I searched online for content about becoming a dad. Something honest. Something real. Something that spoke to a Muslim man trying to figure out fatherhood.

I found almost nothing.

I didn't grow up with my father. I had no template. No one who had walked this road and come back to tell me what it looked like. I felt completely alone in one of the most important moments of my life.

So I built the thing I needed.

Dadhood started as a podcast real conversations with ordinary Muslim dads. It became a community of fathers helping each other. It became articles, events, mentoring, and now an app. Eight years of building the space that should have always existed.

If you are about to become a dad, or you are years in and still working it out this place is for you.

I'm a father of three and the founder of Dadhood. Eight years ago, my wife fell pregnant and I went looking for content that spoke to me as a Muslim man about to become a dad. I found almost nothing. I didn't grow up with my father, so I had no model to work from. I built Dadhood because the space didn't exist and because I knew I wasn't the only one who needed it.

What started as a podcast became a community of 200+ dads, a mentoring practice, and now an app. The conversation is still going.
